You’re not going to be saving any money with the AeroGarden. Seed kits are $20 a pop and the bulbs are expensive. Oh, and that’s if you can find some of the seed kits. Some varieties have been sold out for weeks at Aerogarden.

My Pro 100 worked OK for awhile and now it’s resetting itself after any momentary power interruption. That’s not good considering that it’s supposed to be able to remember its settings after a power blip. I tried following the reset procedures to clear this fault, but no luck.

Although, I like the concept of growing some vegetables year round, AeroGarden just isn’t getting it quite right.

I wouldn’t recommend this unit to anyone and won’t be replacing mine.

I bought AeroGrow in August 2009 after reading all the reviews on Amazon and was thrilled to try it at home because both my husband and I love fresh herbs. The only herb that grew fine was basil. NOTHING else grew, even though I followed the instructions very carefully and made sure my plants got enough water, food, and light. All the seeds germinated, but stayed in the first stage. I wish I could return AeroGrow, but I got rid of the box.

I love my Aerogarden. Love the fresh salad greens and have loved the herbs. Pod kits are EXPENSIVE – I can buy a lot of lettuce for 20 bucks. Also after two “growing cycles”…. herbs and salad, I’ve already had to replace the light and the pump at ten or more bucks a shot. Not made to hold up very long and constant cost to keep it going. It is expensive (for what it is) to begin with and I love having fresh herbs in the winter but it is not economical to keep it going.

The aerogarden kit came very quickly, was easy to set up and all the herbs are growing beautifully. I have had no trouble with it at all and recommend the product to others.

We really love our AeroGarden, but the documentaiton with the product is terrible, besides wrong. If you go to their website you find out that the newest AeroGarden is shipping with the older manuals. From a product that is not exaclty “cheap” I would have expected far better service
