I am not a master gardener by a long shot; just container plants on the deck so these are fine for me. The “ergonomic” description grabbed my attention since I have arthritis in my hands and wrists. So as far as comfort and performance go, they are fine.I was disappointed that after much digging at Amazon and elsewhere on the net, I couldn’t find where the tools were made, since for many reasons I try to avoid products from certain countries. And of course, when the tools arrived I discovered that they were made in a country I prefer not to support economically. I think that the country of origin should be posted in the description, so that consumers can make an informed choice. How about it, Amazon? Other web sites provide this information. I’ve noticed that some descriptions of merchandise on Amazon do tell where the product is made, but not all.

I have only borrowed gardening tools for the very limited amount of gardening thus far. I now want to garden as a hobby and thought I should have a nice new set of tools for myself. After reading the rave reviews and given the cute design with bright green handles, I decided to purchase this set. I like the light weight feel of the pieces, but as far as ergonomic, I can’t tell the difference between this design versus the standard designs. I even find that the standard design works better such as the cultivator, this one is much harder to use because the the claw is more sparse and is thicker at the end giving it more difficulty penetrating the dirt. The trowel did okay, but found that the the metal to be easily scratched. I don’t have any wrist or hand problems so did not notice whether ergonomic design is beneficial or not.

My wife had recent carpal tunnel surgery and, as an active gardner, wanted tools to continue working without problems. The tools are definitely designed to ease stress on the hands and wrist areas. She has used them in a variety of soils, including rocky and heavy root areas, and they have shown no weakness. Past tools have bent, broken, or handles came off while she worked in the garden. We are very pleased with them and would recommend them to any person who loves to work in the garden.

I PURCHASED THIS SET ABOUT A YEAR OR SO AGO, AND EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THESE TOOLS PERFORMS VERY, VERY WELL. MY PURCHASE WAS MAINLY FOR MY MOTHER; HOWEVER, I WANTED THEM FOR MY USE, AS WELL. WE BOTH WORK A LOT IN THE YARD. THESE TOOLS MAKE GARDENING MUCH EASIER AS THEY ARE COMFORTABLE TO HOLD, AND VERY LIGHT WEIGHT (BUT S-T-R-O-N-G), AND EASY TO KEEP TRACK OF. HOWEVER, MOM LEFT TWO OF THEM IN THE YARD, AND SOMEONE WALKED OFF WITH THEM. RECENTLY, I PURCHASED ANOTHER SET, AND I KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON THEM. THEY ALSO COME WITH VERY THIN DURABLE PLASTIC CORDS ON THE END OF THE HANDLES. MOST FOLKS PROBABLY CUT THESE OFF; HOWEVER, THEY DO NOT GET IN THE WAY AT ALL. I FIND THEM VERY USEFUL, AS THEY MAKE IT EASIER TO CARRY ALL OF THEM WITH ONE FINGER, AND THIS LETS ME HANG THEM IN OUR WORK HOUSE OUT BACK. I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANY OTHER BRAND OF TOOLS IN THE FUTURE. I’M COMPLETELY SOLD ON THIS BRAND.

Great design, you can work all day and not hurt you hands. It does take a little time to re-train you hands, but it is clearly better. Better leverage also. Regular garden tools seem so primitive when you get used to these.
The blade and the handle are one piece of metal so no problems with handles coming loose or breaking.
The only bad thing I can say is they take up more room in a toolbox because of the curved handles. But well worth the space.
I have the whole set of hand tools, plus 2 shovels and a pitchfork. All great. Truly, the next step in garden tools.
